Donnie introduced prospective member Zach Hildebrand. Andy
Treon volunteered to be Zach's mentor.
Old Business:

Keener made a motion to change the September tournament to
Logan Martin.
Mike
Sullivan motioned to change the September tournament to
Bartlett's Ferry.
Andy
Treon made a motion to change the September tournament to Lake
Wedowee.
Matt
Davis made a motion to change the September tournament to Lake
Peachtree.
All
motions were seconded and a vote was held. Bartlett's Ferry
received four votes, Wedowee three votes, Logan Martin and
Lake Peachtree each received two votes.
The September
10 tournament will be held at Bartlett's Ferry (Lake Harding).
We will launch from the Alabama Power ramp at Long Bridge.
There will be a convoy leaving the Newnan Wal-Mart at 4:30 AM.
Estimated in-the-water time: 6:30 AM.
New Business:

Daughtry volunteered to be Jim Bishop's mentor.

asked for a head count of those who will stay Thursday night
before the Lake Guntersville tournament in October. (12)
Due to the October meeting
falling on the Thursday prior to the Guntersville tournament,
it was decided that the October meeting would be changed to
Tuesday, October 4.

2005 Meeting Minutes

Donnie called the meeting to order about 7:15 PM.
Discussion was held on the Youth event. Ideas for next year:
Discussion was held on accommodations at our tournaments.
There has been a trend of people changing their plans between
the meeting and the tournament without notifying Eddie.
As a
review, you are responsible for your hotel reservation if your
plans change. Since the club does not have a credit card,
Eddie must use his when making reservations. If someone
changes their plans without notifying Eddie, it leaves Eddie
liable for any charges for late cancellation.
Please let Eddie know as soon as possible if you will not need
a room that you had previously asked for. If charges incur,
you will be responsible for refunding Eddie.
Some
discussion has been held in the past few months regarding a
change in the way we schedule our tournaments. It had been
suggested that we narrow down the number of lakes that we fish
in order to learn more about the lakes.
Motions were made to fish three or four lakes next year. A
vote was held and it was decided that we will fish three lakes
with Lake Seminole as a kick-off tournament (Seminole not to
be included in the three lakes). The dates and lakes will be
decided in the normal way.
A motion was made to change the Lake
Logan Martin tournament scheduled for September 10. Several
options were discussed and it was decided that we will fish
Lake Lanier in September.
A
motion was made to cancel the July meeting. Motion passed
unanimously. (The August meeting will be held as scheduled on
August 4.)
Some
discussion was held about our scales. Lanier said he may be
able to procure some scales, otherwise the club will buy a new
scale.

Discussion was held on the successful patterns at Lake Russell.
Most fish were caught shallow on spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Matt
caught some using a yum dinger.

Discussion was held on the Fayette County Youth Fishing Rodeo. It
was decided to separate the kids into three age groups, 6-7, 8-9,
10-12. Awards to be given to the most fish, smallest fish and
biggest fish in each age group.

Donnie called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM and introduced
Cajen Rhodes of the Peachtree City Recreation Department.
Cajen and Jim Daughtry spoke about the Kid's fishing derby.
The event will be held on May 21. Some discussion was held on
changing the venue, but it was decided that we will again hold
the event at the Line Creek Nature Area.
Jim
has commitments from Wal-Mart for donations. We also decided
it would be a good idea to have separate age groups.
Donnie then led a short discussion on the productive patterns
at our February Lake Guntersville tournament. The big story
was the secret yalla-colored spinnerbait Donnie and Jim used.

Seminole. Red rattletraps, spinnerbaits and worms were the
best baits. The best locations were shallow grass or timber.
Discussion was held on accommodations for our February Lake
Guntersville tournament. It was decided that we would get
cabins (chalets) at Guntersville State Park. Eddie has made
arrangements.

weekend. After much discussion it was decided that we will
