The December meeting was held Thursday,
December 4th, 2008 at the Kedron Field house.
Meeting started at 7:05 p.m.

Old Business:
Nov. Oconee Fishing Pattern Discussion Spot
Remover and crankbaits caught the majority of the fish on a
windy day at Oconee. Wind gust were estimated at 30 mph.
It was decided that the Phil Haynie Proposal is
a No Go. It would be too difficult for PTCBA to field
enough boats (25) to make this event successful.
New Business:
Lunker Pot for Dec tourney is $505.00.
The December tournament date has been moved to
December 13th. The lake will remain the same
(Harding). We will be using the Alabama Power access ramp on
HWY 379/Columbus Rd. Teams need to be in the water at 6:45am
(Georgia time). Pairings are listed below (boater listed
first) in launch order:

It was decided that membership dues will remain
the same and at this time the club will continue to support
all soft and hard expenses.
Website:
Andy Treon will continue to update the PTCBA
website.
Meetings:
Virtual meetings will remain a
work-in-progress. It was decided that we would gather more
information and will perform testing before making the move to
the virtual meeting.
Important Dates:
The January monthly PTCBA meeting will be held
on January 8th 2009.
Board of Directors meeting will be held on
January 10th 2009.
The PTCBA Annual Banquet has a tentative date
of January 17th 2009.
The March tournament will be held at Lake
Seminole on the 21st and 22nd. James to
reserve cabins ASAP.
The January 2009 tournament will be held on
Lake Jackson (Date TBD).
Points Proposal:
There was a proposal to change how the club
awards points throughout the year. The main focus is to help
encourage tournament participation. There will be a later
e-mail with the specifics and a couple of examples for each to
take a look at. We will be voting on it at the January
meeting.

Sep Lake Wedowee Fishing Pattern Discussion -
almost all fish were caught on top water or crank baits with a
few shaky heads.
Lunker Pot for Oct tourney is $445.00.
A decision was made that we would not go to G-Ville due to
lack of interest and same for a local Oct tourney . . . so,
no activity for this month except Northern Qualifier good
luck team!.
New Business:
Top Six Qualifier Oct 18-19th (Sat &
Sunday) Highland Marina blast off. Nick Ward has been cut a
check for $354.00 for hotel fare for lodging for our four
Northern Qualifier participants

Lunker Pot for Sep -Wedowee tourney is
$385.00.
New Business:
Ex PTCBA member Phil Haynie presented a
proposal for the club to sponsor a tournament for spring of
2009 in conjunction with the baseball players on the Georgia
Perimeter College at Jackson Lake as a potential site.
www.gpc.edu. Would need about 25 boats to escort the GPC
team members on the Lake. Would this qualify as a Youth
Event; Mike B to follow up with GBCF and discuss at next
meeting. May want to research
www.YHD.edu website for another college that did similar
activity.
Top Six Qualifier Oct 18-19th (Sat &
Sunday) Highland Marina blast off. Determine interest. Have
three members so far interested. If anyone is interested

Discussion around balance of year tournaments:

the schedule be modified to increase participation?
· Last
three tourneys have had 2-4 boats. It was decided to keep
tournament schedule intact and make the call on G-Ville at the
next meeting Cliff please block 8 rooms and only do so at
the State Park if no monetary fee for cancellation is
available otherwise go with normal local hotel.
