June 2009 Meeting Minutes

 

The April meeting was held Thursday, June 4th 2009 at the Kedron Field house.

 

Members Present:   Meeting started at 7:00 p.m.

(Nice Turnout!!!)

 

Old Business:

Seminole fishing pattern:  Tom N. won by tossing a Tx. rigged dead-ringer all day long.

 

 New Business:

Lunker Pot for June Blue Ridge tourney is $1,105.00.

You guys decide on a ramp and communicate to each other.  Mark and I were not aware of any.  Safe light is at 5:45am.

April 2009 Meeting Minutes

 

The April meeting was held Thursday, April 4th 2009 at the Kedron Field house.

 

Members Present:   Meeting started at 7:00 p.m.

Old Business:

March Lake Seminole Fishing Pattern Discussion – Scott Ebetino won the tournament throwing on creature bait on a very windy main lake section of Seminole. Other catches were on a spinnerbait and paddle-tail worm.

 

New Business:

Lunker Pot for April tourney is $835.00. 

 

There will be two April tournaments held on West Point Lake on the 4th & 18th at safe light at the Horace King (HWY 109) ramp. Be on the water at 7:00am. Below are the pairings and ease-off order, boater listed first:

 

West Point I (4/4/09)

The May tournament will be held at Lake Sinclair on the 16th

 

Cabin prices from the Seminole tournament are listed below. Please reimburse the club as soon as possible.  You can bring a check to the April 4th tournament or you can mail them to me at 1200 Newnan Crossing Blvd. #905 Newnan, Ga. 30265.

 

If you stayed:

Three nights, you owe $89.12

Two nights, you owe 65.58

One night, you owe 30.27

 

The Kids event will be held on May 2nd at Luther Glass Park in PTC. Please plan on attending if at all possible. Last year a few of the wives saved us due to lack of participation. There will be another e-mail to follow on what needs to happen for this to be a success.

Old Business:

February Lake Wedowee Fishing Pattern Discussion – Spot sticker (anything green) on “Tony Robinson's point”.  It appears that the fish turned on at about 1:30pm. The key was the wind, boat traffic, or wind. Did we mention the wind?

 

New Business:

Lunker Pot for March tourney is $770.00. 

 

The March tournament will be held on Lake Seminole on the 21st & 22nd at safe light. Below are the pairings and ease-off order, boater listed first:

ATTENTION:  The April 4th tournament has been rescheduled for Westpoint.

 

TBF dues are to be refunded to the club as they were paid by PTCBA last December. This is due even if you are on LOA.

January Jackson Lake Fishing Pattern Discussion – Jig and Pig, crank baits caught most of the fish.  Sitting in 15 to 20 ft. of water casting to wood and rock.

 

New Business:

 

Lunker Pot for February tourney is $700.00. 

 

The February tournament will be held on Lake Wedowee on the 7th at safe light.  Below are the pairings and ease-off order, boater listed first:

Youth Event:

 

The Youth Event will be held on May 2nd .  Please keep this date in mind as this is a great way for PTCBA to have exposure to the community.  All available help/member participation is encouraged.

Shawn Hendrix to e-mail Van Foster to investigate the “permit rumor” for Georgia lakes.

January 2009 Meeting Minutes

 

The January meeting was held Thursday, January 8th 2009 at the Kedron Field house

Old Business:

December Lake Harding Fishing Pattern Discussion – Crankbaits on points was the majority.  Some Carolina Rigs and Jig/Pigs near grassy points.

 

New Business:

Lunker Pot for January tourney is $565.00. 

 

The January tournament will be held on Jackson Lake on the 24th at safe light.  We will be using the Reasor Landing ramp ($5.00) fee.  Below are the pairings and ease-off order, boater listed first:

3.  Mike Brunett and Bud Whatley

4.  Shawn Hendrix

Federation Dues:

Federation dues are due even if you are on LOA.  The reason being is insurance purposes.  Each person on our roster must pay the Federation dues.  If that member decided to fish any tournament, they will be covered under the insurance.

 

Meetings:

Virtual meetings will remain a work-in-progress. 

 

Important Dates:

Board of Directors meeting will be held on January 10th 2009 at 5:00pm at Mark Ward’s house.

The PTCBA Annual Banquet will be held on January 17th 2009.

The February tournament has been (tentatively) scheduled for the 7th at Lake Wedowee.

The March tournament will be held at Lake Seminole on the 21st and 22nd.  Cabins have been reserved!!!

 

Points Proposal:

The points proposal was passed with a unanimous vote.  We will be using a 35 point system with 5 participation points and 2 bonus points for big fish.  The will be in effect for the January tournament.

 

Youth Event:

The two dates slated for the youth event by Cajun are May 2nd or May 16th.  Please keep these dates in mind as this is a great way for PTCBA to have exposure to the community.  All available help/member participation is encouraged

 

**One Final Note**

Please keep our very own Nick Ward in your thoughts and prayers as he leaves today (1/9) to serve our country so we can continue to have and do the things we love free from worry. Good Luck Nick and can’t wait to fish with you soon brother!!!!
