Ebetino Wins Another At West Point

The club fished West Point for the second time this April and the results were about the same. There was a pretty low turnout, but Scott Ebetino showed up and once again came away with a first place finish.

Scott had four fish for a total of 7.04 pounds and the big fish of the day at 2.08 pounds.

Mark Ward and James Kelley (must have gotten the Toyota fixed) also had four fish and finished second and third. Ronnie Hendrickson finished fourth with three fish.

Hendrix Finds Largemouth At West Point

West Point Lake was a popular place the Saturday in early April when we held our first tournament of the month. Real estate was in high demand as there were several tournaments being held.

The fish were still in a pre-spawn mode and really hadn't moved into the shallows. The water had a pretty serious stain but wasn't to the point of being muddy (at least south of the railroad bridge). Fishing was tough, as it seems to be every Saturday.

Shawn Hendrix, who's partner had a broken Toyota and couldn't fish, capitalized on the solo opportunity and brought a nice sack of largemouth to the scales. Shawn had five fish that weighed 13.95 pounds, including the 4.68 pound big fish of the day. That was more than enough to take first place.

Andy Treon had four fish also, but his were all spots and only weighed 5.5 pounds. Third place went to Eddie Privett and fourth to Scott Ebetino who held his place at the top of the YTD standings.

Ebetino Wins at Seminole

It was another typical Lake Seminole for the PTCBA. Wind and tough fishing seem to be a recurring theme for us at Seminole, but, so is the chance of catching big fish.

Scott Ebetino didn't have any lunkers, but he weighed in four fish that totaled over 10 pounds. That was enough to take first place and boost his lead in the YTD standings.

Andy Treon had 8 pounds, including the big fish for day two.

Third place went to prospective member Blair Hayward who had 3 fish and 6.63 pounds. James Kelley had the big fish on day one—a nice 5.20 pounder. James rounded out the top four with 6.18 pounds.

Hendrickson Takes The Reign

Mike Brunett was dubbed "The Wewee King" a couple years ago due to his consistent dominance at Lake Wedowee. Well, Rulers come and go, and there is now a new (if not older) King.

In a full-circle sort of way, Donnie Hendrickson wound up in the top spot at our Lake Wedowee tournament in early February. Donnie was fishing out of the back of Mike's boat. They both brought a limit of fish to the scales, but Donnie edged out Mike by a pound and a half and executed the perfect coup.

James Kelley and Eddie Privett rounded out the top four at a tough tournament on beautiful Lake Wedowee.

Hendrix limits out at Jackson

The Peachtree City Bass Anglers kicked off 2009 with a tournament at Lake Jackson in January. The conditions weren't ideal as there was a cold rain for the first half of the day, but most everyone managed to find a fish or two.

Shawn Hendrix did better than that and brought a five fish limit to the scales that weighed 7.45 pounds, taking the top spot.

Scott Ebetino finished second with two fish, one of which was the big fish of the tourney at 2.97 pounds.

Mike Brunett and Eddie Privett rounded out the top foureach with a pair of bass.

Mark Ward wins Angler of the Year

Mark Ward took the top spot for 2008 and and secured a spot in PTCBA history.

It was a tough year for the Peachtree City Bass anglers. Gas prices and general lack of interest decreased club participation for most of the year. Some tournaments only had a few anglers motivated enough to fish.

Mark was one of those who hung in there and fished most of the tournaments, winning four of them. He had a total of 24 fish and 29.42 pounds.

Mark also won the Sportsman of the Year award at the annual awards banquet. Congratulations on a great year!

Scott Ebetino gave Mark a run for the Angler of the Year title. He finished in second place, missing the top spot by less than a half-point.

Congrats to both of these guys who fished hard all year.
